Potential mandarin seeks rest of the orange

I'm not yet a mandarin, but maybe at some point I will be. I enjoy my work as a civil servant very much but am looking for someone to share the fun parts of life with. I'd like an intelligent, well balanced man with an interest in culture and an independent mind.

One of my main hobbies is dancing Argentine Tango but I love other dance forms too which keeps me fairly active. I don't require a man who can dance but if you wanted to dance with me, it would be lovely. Dancing is important to me because it's completely different from work and provides some escapism.

I also enjoy classical music and theatre. I regularly go to the Wigmore Hall and the Proms and like theatre and cinema. I like fine food and good wine.

I like travel very much, particularly discovering cities and staying in nice hotels. For leisure travel my favourite places have included Italy, Germany and the Maldives. My recent work has taken me to Georgia, Belarus and Serbia and I am enjoying learning about this part of the world. While I'm fairly independent, a travelling companion would be very nice.

Ideal Holiday:

Lying on a beach in the Caribbean, I'd prefer either a city holiday staying in a 5* hotel and discovering a new European City. Failing that, I'd love to go back to the Maldives.
